What is breast augmentation?
Breast augmentation aesthetics in women is one of the most common plastic surgeries performed. During this plastic surgery, prostheses called implants are used to enlarge the breasts as much as they need.
How is breast augmentation performed?
The breast augmentation procedure is performed under general anesthesia. It takes about 1-1.5 hours. According to the prostheses brand preference of the patient, the surgery is performed with breast implants. The most commonly used incisions in Breast augmentation surgeries are three centimeters incisions under each breast. Then the prostheses put in two places, one under the muscles and one under the breast tissue on the muscles.
How is the recovery period of breast augmentation?
After the surgery, the patient is kept under surveillance at the hospital for one night. There are discharge pipes called drainage tubes. A day later, the patient can be discharged with a bra and corset.
About two days later, the patient is called in again and the drainage tubes are pulled off. They can now see their new breasts. After six months, the final result of the breast augmentation is revealed.
At first, the degassing areas are full and large in breast prostheses surgeries. This is something that needs to happen to our patients. This passes over time and when the breasts fall down a little, you get the natural appearance we want.
During the post-op period, the patient is given antibacterial oils and creams to treat her scars. She also should massage her breasts, so that the senses in the head come back faster.
